is it possible to apply carbon capture to automobiles?

i am actually thinking of a project where we could capture oxides of carbon from automobiles using a portable device and either storing it suitably or re-utilizing it. i wonder if this is possible, if so what is the best possible way, would filtering affect the engine performance gravely. Do provide details.

Carbon capture is not a simple thing and most systems are fairly complex. The only way to do it is indirectly by having electric power plant that carbon capture systems and then use an electric car.

The single biggest problem with any carbon capture system is storing the CO2 after you capture it.
