Why are there so many Joe Montana haters?

To each his own but Montana's job like all QB on any team was to win the Superbowl, Is that not what every team in the NFL wants? Joe was the best, and before anyone cries Jerry Rice remember Montana won 4 and only had Rice for 2, He beat Elway, Marino, He didnt lose a Superbowl!!!!! So why do some people think he was not great?

Update:

@spiderman, Terry was a fantastic QB no doubt!! look at the stats, Bradshaw,27,879 passing yards,212 TDs Montana 40,551 passing yards, 273 TDs Bradshaw 210 picks, Montana 139 picks

Update 2:

It's all part of being a fan of your team. You generally don't like the players on teams who defeated your team... Joe Montana beat quite a lot of teams in the playoffs and super bowl. Plus, they don't understand what it was like being a QB before they started implementing all these rules about touching the QB. In Montana's era, it was a run first league, pass 15-25 times per game because you couldn't physically take the abuse of 350 lb human trucks plowing you over on every pass, including hits to the knees and head. These rules allowed players like Brady, Manning and even Favre throughout the last half of his career to stay healthy and throw the ball twice as many times.

When you get right down to it, Montana was on some amazing teams, but it was centered around him. He knew how to beat your team, not pad his stats for personal reasons. That makes him the best QB. OH, and add that to the fact that his QB rating in the post season is incredible, which is saying something because the post season is when you play against top tier teams, and this is where Montana played his best football, not to mention he still owns a top 10 lifetime QB rating in the regular season.... at the time of his retirement, he was #1... so what does that say? That the last 20 years we have seen 10 QB's better than Montana? I don't think so. It just shows you how much the game has changed and how much it has benefited the QB and the offense as a whole to allow for higher scoring games.

    Montana's post-season QB rating = 95.6

Tom Brady's post season QB rating = 87.4

Montana also never threw an interception in the super bowl.

they may hate on Joe but deep down there is no dying his greatest.. No he didn't have the cannon that Farve and Elway had.. IF so then Jeff George would be the greatest QB of all time IF it was just about arm strength, ya know? Joe had every intangible that is needed to be a great QB, i.e. field vision, accuracy, coolness under pressure, leadership ability, Guts, a winning & never give up attitude (that he developed while at Notre Dame & leading them to two straight National Championship).. & I'm Rams fan!!

So lets see.. Montana led the Fightin' Irish to 2 consecutive National Championships & then led the 9ers to 4 SB Championships.. No one has ever done that B4 or since. Yes Joe is the greatest QB of all time, with the late-great Johnny Unitas a close 2nd...

If no Montana fan wants to admit that Terry Bradshaw is at least on his level, then why should I accept the fact that he is the greatest when the only argument for him being the greatest is winning 4 rings?

Firstly, honestly, I've never seen anyone who dare to say that he or she hates Joe. I mean Joe is a NFL giant.

Secondly, like most say, people love to hate the succeeded hero, they're just simply jealous.

Thirdly, not only to Joe but it applied to Tom Brady too. Knuckleheads hate him just simply 'cuz he is too good, too success and they love to bring him down by running their mouths.
