    In ax^2 + bx + c = 0

    Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac

    In x^2 - 4x + 3 = 0

    Discriminant = -4^2 - 4*1*3 = 16 - 4 = 12

    Since b^2 - 4ac is greater than 0, there are two real distinct roots (two unequal real solutions)

    B^2-4ac, b=-4, a=1, c=3. Disc =4 . 2 distinct solutions, of course real!

    x²-4x+3=0

    d=V(-4)²-4*1*3)

    d=V16-12

    d=V4

    d=+ou-2

    x'=(4+2):2

    x'=6/2

    x'=3

    x"=(4-2):2

    x"=2/2

    x"=1
