Do newer cars require synthetic oil?
Do newer cars require them more expensive synthetic oil for oil changes? I need to know because I don't want the higher oil change prices.
The mechanic says they do. The salesman says they don't. I don't trust either of them.

They do not usually need synthetic oil only if the makers recommend it.
