can I sue my landlord for the following reasons:?

I live in a two story house in which I live in the lower unit and there are other tenants living upstairs... and there's a basement where we all do laundry.

first off, he sent me an illegal eviction notice, saying he wanted me out in 14 days because he said I was a drug dealer and had a "side business". He said this because he smelled pot outside of my house one time, when it wasn't even me. Then after all that nonsense was cleared up, the power got shut off because he hadn't payed the bills even though his rent was on time and in full.. meanwhile, the upstairs tenants power was not shut off... so clearly somethings up...

and he also wants me to sign a new lease agreement where I'd basically be paying for my neighbors to do there laundry...

is any of this legal..?

I don't know which province you live in, but Ontario has a Landlord and Tenant Board, which regulates landlord/tenant relationships. Many cities have their own housing boards too. They can be used to resolve disputes.

Before a lawsuit, try talking to the landlord. Document all (attempted) communications and dates. If he refuses to meet, file a complaint with the appropriate hosuing board (they might be more efficient at resolving the issue than a court).
