im just curious on what you use?

Im wondering what everyone else uses for pike out there. I have 2 set ups, a Rapala husky spinning reel medium action, and a pfluger bait caster medium action both with 12lb test and a wire leader. What do you use?

Whenever I get around to a dedicated pike/muskie rig, It'll likely be a St. Croix Heavy power fast action 7'6 Mojo Musky rod, a good metal frame casting reel (probably a Shimano) and something like 65lb braid with 40lb fluorocarbon leader. That way I can throw big 7-9" 2-3oz swimbaits for them.

St. Croix Avid UL 6 foot 6 one piece rod with a Pfluger UL Spinning Reel

St. Croix Triumph 7 foot one piece medium rod with a Shimano Sonara 2500 Spinning Reel

I plan on getting later this month: St. Croix Premier 7 foot one piece Heavy with a Cabela's Salt Striker reel

EDIT: Sorry I just read the rest of the question, I thought it was "What are your set ups?" My pike is the St. Croix Triumph one with 12lb test

A medium heavy abu garcia veritas paired with a lews speed spool.

For spinning I use a medium action rod.
