    You can try ESET online scanner to verify that t is a virus and see if they can remove it. Below is the instructions.

    http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SO...

    If you have a real stubborn virus use the directions below. This covers checking for a virus. If needed, to recover your files and restore it back to factory setting.

    First thing to try is to run RKill. The first link below discusses how it works. The second discusses some of the ransomware viruses it will remove. You will need another puter to download RKill and malwarebytes. You will need both of them on a thumb drive, DVD or a CD. Read the instruction carefully on how to use the programs together.

    If all else fails you will need to try to recover your data and files. Go to the link below and read on how to download a Linux Live CD to boot the system to recover what you want. If you have a Windows 8 puter then you need to turn of secure boot before using the CD. The live CD will also allow you to check out the rest of the puter. It helps to have a thumb drive or a external drive to copy your data and files to.

    After you get your data backed up you can restore it back to factory settings. When you press the power button start tapping the F key that is for your puter and the BIOS menu will open. Select the recovery and it will set your puter back to factory settings. Depending on your puter this will take one to two hours.

    Manufacturers BIOS menu F key

    HP/Compaq ESC

    Sony F2

    ASUS Del

    Gateway, eMachines F10

    Acer, Dell, Fijitsu, Gigabyte, Toshiba F12

    Your BIOS menu should look something like this. Yours might be different. I am posting this to give you an idea of what it looks like.

    F1 = System Info

    F2 = System Diagnostic

    F9 = Boot Device options

    F10 = BIOS Setup

    F11 = System recovery

    Ok do this...

    download a few things from a NON-infected computer on to a USB.

    1) Malwarebytes-free

    2) Combofix

    Reboot your computer, while its booting (early pre-windows (AKA PXE)) press F8 over and over. You'll see options, and select safemode with networking. once that boots up and it will look different. Insert the USB drive and install those 2 programs. First run Combofix. It'll reboot and see if things look better. Either way, install malwarebytes and run that as a secondary.

    How do you know you have a virus? I bet it's not a virus, but malware / spyware.

    If you have multiple antivirus installed then these kind of issues do arise.

    I would recommend using software like CCleaner to uninstall all the anti-virus software and reinstall one single anti-virus like may be Avast.

    1. Install CCleaner

    2. Login to safe mode with networking by pressing F8 at boot.

    3. Uninstall all the anti virus using CCleaner. Clean your registry using the CCleaner.

    4. Reboot

    5. Download antivirus like Avast or AVG etc which are free.

    When you are in safe mode the antivirus do not run and so are easier to be removed.

    Get CCleaner here

    The default windows defender probably is stopping you from running those files,

    Search for windows defender and you can see the option to disable it, If you cant find it go to control panel or updates panel to disable it, If it is not windows defender you should go to control panel and uninstall the program that is blocking you and remove it, restart now and install

    Ehm..

    You can speed up your pc and get rid of viruses, worms and trojans by cleaning up your register. A good free program is CCleaner. Link here http://bitly.com/UrAKUH
