Which one is better to use in a research project, footnotes or parenthetical notes?
I'm doing a research project and it requires to do either footnotes on it or parenthetical notes. I want to do the easiest one since out of these two.
Also, can you clarify what these exactly are for? I've searched in the internet, but they all seem to confuse me more or not answer my question.

The main peculiarity of parenthetical notes is that they are always shorter than footnotes, however they are easier to deal with while editing and they are more convenient in use.
