Can anyone go into the Library of Congress and look at most books?

What are the limitations? Can anyone go in and look at George Washington's journals?

    Anyone can have access to the materials of the Library (but for certain materials, there are restrictions) ... but you don't have to go to Washington to see his papers - they're available online at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gwhtml/
