NBA: Kobe will not take a pay-cut, will he hamper the Lakers opportunities next free agency?

If he takes 32 million wow that's too much specially if the salary cap wont go upside of 60 million for next season.

Update:

Quote: “I’m not taking any at all – that’s the negotiation that you have to have.” Kobe Bryant told Lakers Nation in an exclusive interview at his Kobe Basketball Academy on Wednesday. “For me to sit here and say, ‘Oh yeah, I’m just going to take a huge pay cut. Nah, I’m going to try to get as much as I possibly can.”

Kobe will take a pay cut, or he will find himself without a contract. The Lakers are under no obligation to pay him what he wants. Kobe knows this, that's why he's starting off with "I'm not taking a pay cut." Then if he signs a deal for $18 million a year, the story will be how much he sacrificed, instead of how the Lakers are overpaying a guy in his mid-thirties who is coming off of major ankle surgery.

The answer came after lakersnation asked if he would take the minimum 1.4 million. A player of Kobe's stature won't take 1.4 million are you crazy? Maybe 10-14 million but 1.4 million, hah.

Greedy... Why can't Kobe take a pay cut? It shows he would rather be paid as much as possible then winning another championship.
