  • Who else thinks San Antonio wins game 5?

I say the Spurs win game 5 and it will be just like game 3 and 4. Spurs drain a lot of open threes and light up the Heat from mid range.

  • Are apes really stronger than humans?

Upper body wise, I know apes are a lot stronger than humans. Their arms are a lot bigger and stronger than their legs. They use their arms to walk, climb, hang, swing, and fight others on a daily basis. We pale in comparision to upper body, but what about lower body? Humans legs are much bigger, heavier, and I would suppose, stronger than an apes. We balance our weight on two legs, whereas apes balance on all 4 limbs. Also, our legs are much more developed. So, I have noticed apes have reversed strenghts compared to us? Would this analogy fit? An apes upper body = humans lower body, whereas an apes lower body = a humans upper body.

  • Do people really think Cam Newton is going to beat the 49ers in his first playoff game ever?

Yeah, $cam Noobton is definately going to beat the 49ers with loads of experience. Kaepernick is going to outplay Newton, just watch. He didn't have crabtree and the 9ers were a little banged up when they played at Candlestick.

  • Why do people love to deny Michael Jordan's greatness?

A lot of people claim the 90s was weak but it was the most talented eras in NBA history and it was the best. Penny Hardaway, Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, Tim Hardaway, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Gary Payton, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Dennis Johnson, Shawn Kemp, Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, John Starks, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chris Webber, Rob Strickland, Chris Mullen, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Dominique Wilkins, Mitch Richmond, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Joe Dummars, ect (I can go on forever) played in the 90s and are some of the best and most talented players ever. Jordan won 6 rings in "this watered down league" infront of these great players. Jordan also denied great players like Barkley, Wilkins, Ewing, Starks, Shaq, Penny, Payton, ect championships in the 90s. There is a reason why the 90s is widely reguarded as the "Golden Age" of basketball.

I am not a brainwashed fan, I just don't go with the popular answer as GOAT, I have looked at Jordan's stats, accomplishments, and have watched him and I have came to the conclusion he is the GOAT. Oh I guess your going to call of these legends "brainwashed" who played against Jordan and many other great players:

    Magic Johnson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wcr3PR3AQw&feature...

"There is Mike and the rest of us". I think Magic would know. He played with Kareem for nearly a decade, competed against Bird 4 times total in championships throughout his basketball career (college and NBA), played Dr.J, Moses Malone, ect. Magic was born in 1959 and he grew up watching Wilt, Russell, Big O, ect and still says Jordan is the greatest. There is a reason why Mike was the leader on the 92 dream team, not Bird or Magic!

Larry Bird: "That was God disguised as Michael Jordan". I am pretty sure Bird knew Jordan was going to end up being the GOAT after he torched one of the greatest teams of all time with 63 points.

  • POLL: Would you rather have your ankles broke, get dunked on, or get rejected on a lay up?

For the dunk, you get posterized like the Blake Griffin on Perkins. For the rejection, you go up for a soft lay up and the ball is swatted really hard into the stands.

  • How badly will Chevy's new Corvette dominante Dodge's Viper?

Chevy has had the same exact Corvette ZR1 since 2009. The 2009 Viper is inferior. The 2010 Viper is inferior. The 2011 Viper is inferior. You get the point, the 2012 and and 2013 Viper are also inferior to a 2009 Corvette ZR1. Dodge actually upgrades their Viper ever year, Chevy does not upgrade their Vette every year. The 2013 Viper still can't handle as good as a Vette and the Vette still is just as fast. That says something about Chevy's engineering. Wait for the new Vette and it will dominante the Viper again for another 4-5 years.

  • Who are your most underrated players of all time?

    Mine:

•Mark Aguiree. He was averaging 29.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, and 4.5 apg in his prime. He has career averges of 20 ppg, 5 rpg, and 3.1 apg. He is one of the best Mavericks players in history, I never hear anyone talk about him.

•Domimique Wilkins. A lot of people basically think he was just a smaller Blake Griffin, they are wrong. Wilkins could score whenever he wanted and he was a good rebounder for his size. He had to battle teams in one of, if not the touhest era in NBA history. His prime was in the 80s and he had to deal with the Lakers (Magic, Kareem, Worthy), Celtics (Bird, McHale, Parish), Pistons (Zeke, Dumars, Rodman, and Laimbeer), Knicks (Ewing), Rockets (Hakeem), Bulls (Jordan and Pippen), 76ers (Julius Erving, Charles Barkley, Mosses Malone), ect. Nobody could guard Wilkins. He was a great free throw shooter, had a solid outside game, and he could attack the rim whenever he wanted. He is the greatest dunker of all time and he is #11 all time points.

•Moses Malone. In my opinion, the 6th best center in NBA history and he is the biggest steal in NBA history. He actually went undrafted, then turned into a great legend. Moses is #7 all time in scoring, #5th all time in rebounds, NBA champion, finals MVP, and he has 3 MVPs. He was one of the stongest and touhest players also.

  • Why do people always say Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL?

I don't get it. He beat a Minnesota Vikings team in the playoffs whose starting QB was injured. The Vikings had to put in their back up QB, Webb, who really didn't do anything the whole game. Don't give me Rodgers 'stats' that game. The Vikings have an average defense and the Packers have one of the best recieving cores in the NFL. Any team in the playoffs would of walked over the Vikings so he was basically given a free win. Then he gets wooped by the 49ers in the divisional round (lost to the 49ers in the regular season too, choked on the final possesion because he couldn't do anything to the 49ers defense). Give me Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees over Rodgers any day of the week. They are better quarter backs.

  • Why Hakeem Olajuwon is the third greatest player ever, do you agree?

The first thing I want to break down is how incredibly versatile and well rounded he was. Nobody else is close to Hakeem's statistical feats. He is the only player who is even close to being top 12 in blocks, steals, rebounds, and

BLOCKS: #1 all time, 3,830 (541 ahead of Mutombo is #2 of all time). No question he is the greatest shot blocker ever. For his size, 6'10"-6'11" it is even more impressive. He blocked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's skyhook: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOCMH_6NMBI (5:08 of the video). The other player I know of that did that was Wilt but Wilt was 7'2" and he had a 7'8" reach so it was easier for him. His highest block season was 4.59 bpg.

STEALS: #8 of all time. 2,162 career steals How incredible is that? A 6'11" center is #8 of all time in steals. He is ahead of all the small and quick guards that played the game and only 7 people are ahead of Hakeem. His highest steals averaged are 2.6 spg.

SCORING: #9 all time. 26,246. Not only was Hakeem a terrific defender, he could also score whenever he wanted. He is without question the greatest post player ever. His footwork, agility, speed, dribbling skills, and footwork were unheard of for a 6'11" center. He had more moves than anybody. "Hakeem has four moves, then four countermoves. That gives him 20 moves"-Shaquille O'Neal. He also humiliated Shaq, Robertson, and Ewing in the playoffs.

    Robinson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW4uXlRGAF0 (DPOY and MVP)

Ewing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQUpFi369t8 (game 7 NBA finals)

Shaq: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hRoMOAirnU (Shaq could not contain him the whole series, one of the reasons the Magic got swept)

    Kareem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNGJl2MfyiI

These are top 10 centers ever (Shaq and Kareem are top 5) and Hakeem humiliated them. The dream shake is the second greatest offensive move ever. 27.8 ppg is his highest scoring average.

Rebounding: #12 all time. 13,748. Another impressive thing to add. You couldn't keep Hakeem off the boards!

  • Which of these players do you think is better and why?

I want to know what some of you think, I think these players are pretty even. Just don't judge rings, also judge their impact on the game, how skillfull they were, how well rounded their games were, ect.

    1. Patrick Ewing or David Robinson

    2. James Worthy or Scottie Pippen

    3. Larry Bird or Magic Johnson

    4. Karl Malone or Charles Barkley

    5. Tim Duncan or Shaquille O'Neal

    6. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Michael Jordan

    7. Jerry West or Oscar Robertson

    8. Elgin Baylor or Julius Erving

    9. Alonzo Mourning or Dikembe Mutombo

    10. Robert Parish or Dennis Rodman

  • Will Michael-Kidd Gilchrist turn into a good or elite level NBA or will he be a bust?

Rookie Season: 9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.5 apg, .9 bpg, .7 spg, 45.8 fg%, and 22.2 3pt%. These stats may not look impressive but he only played 25.9 mpg, so he needs more minutes. I think if he gets around 10 more minutes for his sophmore year, then he can turn into a 14.3 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1 spg, and 1 bpg kind of guy. He has great athletic ability and he is a solid player in my opinion. He has a great body at 6'7" and 232 pounds too.

  • More proof the 50s/60s was the weakest era in NBA history?

    Check this out: http://m.bkref.com/m?p=XXplayoffsXXNBA_1961.html&t...

People wonder why Russell even won 11 rings? The ANSWER: He only played TWO playoff rounds. He would have to play a max of 14 GAMES! Whereas Jordan, Bird, Magic, Shaq, Hakeem, Kobe, Duncan, ect all the other great legends had to play 4 TEAMS and could play a max of 28 GAMES. There is no question the 50s/60s was the weakest era in NBA history. The Miami Heat, San Santonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, and Indiana Pacers would have already been NBA champs if they played in the 50s/60s. If anyone wants to argue and say there were less teams and more concentrated talent, then please click on this link where the BS is debunked: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am1S8...

If you still disagree, then you obviously never played a sport in high school. With more teams, you have to study more players, watch more tape, and adjust to different play styles. The players in the 50s/60s knew all of eachothers tendencies pretty well because they player eachother many more times.

    90s > 80s > early 2,000s > mid-late 70s > 2013 (present) >>>>>> 50s, 60s, and early 70s

  • Why does Hakeem Olajuwon get underrated by so many people?

I don't get it. Hakeem should be on everyones top 5 in my opinion. Show me any other player who is top 12 in four major career statistical categories (by major I mean assists, blocks, steals, rebounds, points, not percentages). Let me show you the things he is top 12 in:

Blocks: #1 all time. 500+ ahead of Mutombo. Best shot blocker ever. He even blocked Jordan and Starks for a game winning 3. Also he blocked Kareem's skyhook (Wilt is the only other guy I know of that blocked the skyhook).

Steals: #8 all time. It is incredible how a 6'11" center is even top 10 in steals. Ahead of the 100s of small and quick guards that ever played and only 7 people are ahead of Hakeem.

Points: #10 all time. Around 26,000 points. Very impressive. He had everything. He could shoot from mid range, hit free throws, hook shot, and he had the best post moves by any player.. He had unmatched footwork, hand speed, dribbling skills, ect.

Rebouds: #12 all time. He may not have as many rebounds as Wilt or Russell but it still is impressive that only 11 people are ahead of him. He focused so much on defense and offense but still got a bunch of rebounds.

Hakeem may not have the most titles but no other player could win with such a bad supporting cast like Hakeem. Jordan had Pippen and Rodman. Magic had Worthy and Kareem. Russell had 5 or 6 hall of famers. Shaq had Kobe and Wade. Hakeem had who? Vernon Maxwell? Kenny Smith? Scott Brooks? Matt Bullard? Robert Horry (was much better for the Lakers)? Yes he ended up getting Drexler later in his career but Hakeem didn't have prime Drexler. As you can see, Hakeem lead his team with average-decent players. In the 1995 playoff run, he beat the teams with the 3 best records (San Antonio, Phoenix, and Utah). He then humiliated Shaq in the 1995 finals by sweeping the Magic. Fact: Hakeem never had home court advantage in the 1995 playoffs and the Rockets were a 6th seed. Also don't forget Hakeem dominated other great centers (Robinson and Ewing)

    2 AnswersBasketball8 years ago
  • Who will end up as the 8th seed in the west?

As we know, the west has great competition and you can't go 38-44 to get in the playoffs like the east.

Portland Trail Blazers: LaMarcus Aldridge and a rising star with Damian Lillard

Denver Nuggets: Still young and talented but they lost Iggy and George Karl

Los Angeles Lakers: Maybe. They have Kobe and some good role players but I don't know.

Utah Jazz: They added Trey Burke, could he be enough?

Minnesota Timberwolves: Best PF today with Kevin Love and a good young PG with Ricky Rubio. Also have Pekovich who is a solid center.
