Serious emotional issues with weight loss?

So, the only way I know how to explain this is the more weight I lose, my self esteem goes in reverse. Long story short, I have lost 50lbs. I start to feel like a normal person then I see a picture of myself from today and feel like I looked exactly the same as I did 50lbs ago. Logically, I know that 50lbs is so significant that there is no way one wouldn't see a difference unless they were severely overweight which I'm not. But I can't get past the emotional part, I feel worse every time I look at myself. I'm supposed to be in a wedding next month and I feel like if I see pictures from that wedding (which I will being the maid of honor) It will completely destroy me and push me over the edge. I see a therapist, but haven't for over a month because she's been so unavailable. I don't know how to fix the problem. I'm in way over my head with this and I feel like I'm losing the battle. Can someone give me some advice?

Update:

I don't have an eating disorder. I didn't lose weight the wrong way, I did it because I worked hard with my diet and I exercise (And still do) every day.

Update 2:

I lost weight because I was over weight, now I'm still 190lbs so NO I'm not at a healthy weight yet. As I said, I lost weight with hard work and dedication. I don't need to gain any, and I'm certainly not going to stop trying to lose weight. Why should I stop, there is no reason to.

Update 3:

If I needed help with my diet, I would have said so. I have a great diet, it's a self esteem issue. I don't need a dietician.

You have issues with body image. One thing you should do is ask your doctor whether or not you are at a healthy weight for your height and age right now.

One thing that helps me personally is appreciating my body for what it can do, not what it looks like. Exercise helps with this a lot, but may or may not be a good idea for you because it could result in weight loss, which is certainly a bad idea at this point.

If you have lost too much weight and are at an unhealthy weight now, you have to gain it back somehow. It can be hard to do this on your own. Getting a dietician will help, as will the support of family and friends. You were doing something to lose all that weight and it needs to stop.

You might feel like you are over your head, but with the help of a good dietician, your own determination, and supportive people surrounding you, you'll be fine :)

Have you ever been diagnosed with an Eating Disorder before? Because losing this much weight and not noticing a difference, and then feeling even worse about yourself, is a common symptom. A similar thing happened to me, but instead of asking for help I just kept losing weight, only to feel worse and worse. If this happens, it can have serious effects on your mental and physical health. Getting help for this sort of thing is difficult, but it sounds to me you would benefit by learning to love who you are, instead of trying to create a body you will love. Because by becoming obsessive over doing that, you probably won't love your body, no matter what it is. I would suggest talking to someone trustworthy, a friend or family member, or trying to get professional help (which you sound like you've already made an effort to do). Good luck, I hope you turn out okay. xxxxxxxxx
