You have a specific feature in mind. And that is GREAT! But your question leaves "us" doing YOUR homework. That will never be satisfying to you! You need to make a list of the available cameras in your price range. No doubt , Canon & Nikon (and possibly Fuji SL 300 @ $199 {US dollars} and write out a comparison sheet. If you go to the trouble of doing this, you will have the satisfaction of knowing what is best for YOU! A lot of the answers given here represent the camera a person owns and is not fixed on YOUR needs. If you go to the trouble of doing this THEN you can ask "I have compared the Canon SX50 IS and the Nikon ??? " and they both have the features I am looking for, PLUS I have handled each and feel comfortable with either one, which would you pick and why???
