Can a Golden Dojo Loach be kept solo in a fish tank?

I want to get him 2 other friends, but that'd mean getting a bigger tank, have you seen the prices for a 20g? $169 dollars just for one tank. Dude, that's like 200 dollars for glass and some wood/plastic. Terrible joke.

Dojo loaches grow big and fat and can get over 10 inches, they are very social fish that should be in a shoal of no less than 5, a 20 gallon is not gonna cut it, a 100 gallon might.

Not sure were you are shoppin? maybey it was an eclipse tank, But you should be able to find a 20 gallon for much cheeper. they are selling tanks for $1. a gallon at petco this week. I dont know if the come with hoods or not though.

I spent less than $150 dollars on my 55 gallon tank at petsmart. and it was a full kit. "most of the stuff it came with was junk though" the hood is nice!

    Check craigslist too.

A shoal of 5 or so khuli loaches can live in a 20. see if they will trade.
