why does almost everyone get so smug when they talk about their beliefs?

Have you seen those people who brag about their music, as if it makes them superior. It's that kinda concept. I think that we should put aside our beliefs at times and just open our eyes. It really doesn't matter if someone believes something different. Kids get this, why can't adults?

whether a person actually is right or is wrong doesn't matter. That's irrelevant. The relevant thing is whether they reached their opinions based on logical/objective/rational thought and fairly reliable information. If not...if they came to their belief based on emotion...or popularity...or intentional willful ignorance...etc. then they are wrong...even if they are RIGHT...then they are wrong....because their reasons are wrong.

In my case I have spoke with Jesus/God personally-Literally and I am not crazy therefore I do not get smug because I know with all my being that Jesus is God thank you though for any concern!
