Is m knight shaymalan a horrible movie director?

Everything after The Sixth Sense was terrible in my opinion. I'm not particularly fond of Signs because when you think of it, the aliens are the dumbest extraterrestrials ever. They're weak against water, wooden doors, and blunt objects, and they choose to land on a planet that has a crap-load of all three. On top of that, how do they know how to travel through space, yet not know how to open a stinking door?

I don't think so. I haven't seen After Earth, but I have seen some of his other movies, like The Sixth Sense and I think he's a very good director.

He made The Sixth Sense and Signs, both movies I enjoyed. I wish he could pick the right script and get over the slump he's had for the last decade. I think it's still in him to do good work.

Horrible movie directors don't get movies to hit the theaters every time they make one, so obviously not.
