Do you think Josh Smith can be a legit small forward?

Yes. His more natural position is PF but he can be a SF. He just needs to work on his dribbling and he would make a complete SF. He is a great defender (inexcuseable he has never been on NBA all team first defense or doesn't have a DPOY), solid passer, above average scorer (needs to work on his outside game a little), solid passer, and a good rebounder.

He can, but he's a much better Power Forward/Center though. Because at the SF there's too much time to take crazy-shots, and Josh Smith likes his crazy-shots.
In ATL Josh Smith basically played the 4, but did most of the dirty work for Al Horford, and occasionally he'd switch to the 3. He's one of the best at PF/C.

Yes he sure can. The SF is considered the most versatile position out of all of them. And that's exactly what Josh Smith is. Very versatile. He's a good scorer, good rebounder, pretty good passer, great defender, gets steals, blocks shots, and athletic to. He does a bit of everything on the court.

Yes. Yes, he can. With great handles at his size, he boasts a versatility to play from the 3 to 5. On the defensive end, he may be stretched further away from the key, but his awareness and athleticism would certainly allow him to remain the shot-blocker he is known for. On the offensive end, Smith certainly poses match-up problems for the opposition considering his size.

Yes, But not the right position for him. Considering him as one tough PF, He got some muscles and height for a SF. That's why he's more legible PF.

Yes but i doubt since i think he is not that effective on chasing people...I think he is more effective protecting the rim...He is like a young robert horry...Horry is not a good SF but very effective PF since he is versatile on that spot...Shot the 3,s, good shot blocker, quicker defensive player than an ordinary PF...

I believe so since he's pretty good at it as he showed in Atlanta. But Smith won't be playing SF for long since we might trade Drumoond and Knight.
@ClevelandCavsTime: Smith is originally a PF Not SF.

I don't see why not. He certainly has the skillset for a SF. If you ask me, he's a better fit there anyway.

That's his natural position. Never knew why he was put at PF.
Original =/= Natural
