The views of the Bible and of the Quran?

Bible

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. (Exo . 31:17)

Quran

We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us. (50;38)

Bible

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Gen 1:26)

Quran

nothing is like him, he is the All-hearing, the All-seeing ( 42:11)

Bible

Wake up , why you sleep , God? (Psalm. 44:23)

Bible

Then the Lord woke up like one who had been sleeping,

like a warrior sobering up from too much wine. (Psalm 78:65)

Quran

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever- Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. (2:255)

Bible

How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? (Hab 1:2)

Quran

Lo! my Lord is indeed the Hearer of Prayer. (14:39)

Bible

The Lord said, "I will break my covenant with them (Lcvi 26:44)

You said 0 Lord: My covenant will I not break.

Quran

[It is] the promise of Allah . Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know. ( 30:6)

Bible

The LORD said to me, 'You are my son. Today I have become your Father (Psalm 2:7)

Quran

Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe (23:91)

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son.

You have done an atrocious thing.

The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.

And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.

I'm not sure of your question, but I can tell you from reading both the Christian bible and the Quran that the Quran is more believable. I believe Muhammad is the real prophet of the Jews foretold in the Old Testament and confirmed in the Quran

. Jesus on the other hand is Lucifer (Satan), the morning star, the light of the world , the deceiver that the Old Testament warns about. The bible says He (Satan, Jesus) will deceive the MAJORITY of religious people. And Christians hold the majority (33%)

  • Those are some verses from both books, although I notice you avoid the New Testament, which has a higher ethical standard than either the Old Testament or the Koran.

God manifested himself in the flesh, to make himself known. He is not the distant unapproachable God of Mohammed.

Mohammed called Allah the Greatest of Deceivers and the Most Proud. These are actually characteristics of Satan, although I think Mohammed was just trying to excuse his own pride and large use of deception, by making them attributes of his Allah.

Mohammed committed gross sins and never repented so should not be trusted by genuine seekers after God. Unless you want to believe in a God who is amoral in many respects. Why think he is a prophet when in his first encounter with an alleged angel, he thought he had encountered an evil spirit? Do the prophets in the Bible behave that way? How can he make rules about having only 4 wives, then help himself to more, including a convenient 'revelation' to Zayd that he should divorce Zeinab, then another that she should marry him, then on the battlefield take beautiful ladies whose husbands he had slain, then the child Aisha, and even slept with a dead woman for a night. Then he said don't steal with arm chopping penalty, but looted and stole from caravans, homes and towns, and with people killed and hurt in the process. And one could say many more things, like behaving like a child with a temper tantrum unable to take criticism and so killing people. A slave-dealer and owner as well.

    What's the question?

The Bible was written over a 1,600-year period. Its writers lived at different times and came from many walks of life. Some were farmers, fishermen, and shepherds. Others were prophets, judges, and kings. The Gospel writer Luke was a doctor. Despite the varied backgrounds of its writers, the Bible is harmonious from beginning to end. The first book of the Bible tells us how mankind’s problems began. The last book shows that the whole earth will become a paradise, or garden. All the material in the Bible covers thousands of years of history and relates in some way to the unfolding of God’s purpose. The harmony of the Bible is impressive, but that is what we would expect of a book from God. The Bible is scientifically accurate. It even contains information that was far ahead of its time. For example, the book of Leviticus contained laws for ancient Israel on quarantine and hygiene when surrounding nations knew nothing about such matters. At a time when there were wrong ideas about the shape of the earth, the Bible referred to it as a circle, or sphere. (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible accurately said that the earth ‘hangs on nothing.’ (Job 26:7) Of course, the Bible is not a science textbook. But when it touches on scientific matters, it is accurate. Is this not what we would expect of a book from God? Some Bible principles deal with family life, work habits, and relationships with others. The Bible’s principles apply to all people, and its counsel is always beneficial. The wisdom found in the Bible is summarized by God’s words through the prophet Isaiah: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit yourself.”—Isaiah 48:17. The Bible contains numerous prophecies, many of which have already been fulfilled. Consider an example. Through the prophet Isaiah, who lived in the eighth century B.C.E., Jehovah foretold that the city of Babylon would be destroyed. (Isaiah 13:19; 14:22, 23) Details were given to show just how the city would be conquered. Invading armies would dry up Babylon’s river and march into the city without a battle. That is not all. Isaiah’s prophecy even named the king who would conquer Babylon—Cyrus.—Isaiah 44:27–45:2. Some 200 years later—on the night of October 5/6, 539 B.C.E.—an army encamped near Babylon. Who was its commander? A Persian king named Cyrus. The Babylonians were holding a festival that night and felt secure behind their massive city walls. Meanwhile, Cyrus cleverly diverted the water of the river that flowed through the city. Soon the water was shallow enough for his men to cross the riverbed and approach the walls of the city. But how would Cyrus’ army get past Babylon’s walls? For some reason, on that night the doors to the city were carelessly left open! Regarding Babylon, it was foretold: “She will never be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let their flocks lie down there.” (Isaiah 13:20) This prophecy did more than predict a city’s fall. It showed that Babylon would be desolated permanently. You can see evidence of the fulfillment of these words. The uninhabited site of ancient Babylon—about 50 miles [80 km] south of Baghdad, Iraq—is proof that what Jehovah spoke through Isaiah has been fulfilled: “I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation.”—Isaiah 14:22, 23.

Why did you not compare the Bible and the Quran to reality? Is it because when you compare both those books to reality, they both fail?
