Rice Crispies as chum?

If I throw in a some rice crispies into a lake as chum and then throw in cast out with a night crawler on my hook would i be catching a lot of fish?

    That is a good question, I would like to know the answer to this one too. Maybe GMB, ghost, dan, swamp, or one of the other guys more knowledgeable in this will come out. I have only chummed for catfish never anything else but I imagine it would work

    It works. It works well to. I usually chum an area with bread which gets the minnows and sunfish feeding, the distrubance then usually brings in other fish. Rice crispies Im sure would work just as well. Maybe the crackling will even entice them a bit more.

    Its not rocket science, its basic fishing knowledge which can really help you. If your trying to catch minnows fast and cast nets are allowed this method works quite well with bread.

    good idea except the bluegills will love you.....try using corn as chum....then use the corn as bait.
