Survey:Why do they say 9 months pregnant?

A woman carries a child 40 weeks so technically it's 10 months.

    Technically 40 weeks is nine months, one week.

    Most months are 30-31 days, which is technically more than 4 weeks. If you want to get technical.

    Absolutely right. BUT variations happen, as in preemies, or late ones. I know of a child born before the 30th week, now 5 years old, healthy, with only sight issues.
