I know how to solve it when given the slope and what point it passes through but how do you do it when given these.
Write an equation in slope-intercept form for each line described.
1) slope = 2, y-intercept = 1
2) passes through A(2,1) and B(-2,3)
3) x-intercept = -1, y-intercept = 6
4) the x-axis
5) slope = 1.5, x-intercept = 10

line goes through 2,1 and-2,3 therefore it goes up 2 units while going left 4 units +slope of -1/2
to go from -2,3 to 0,? at slope of -1/2 = 0,2 the y intercept = 2 y = -1/2x +2
