Tv not getting channels?

Today, my family and I were watching tv when a transformer blew and the power went out. A couple of hours later, the power went back on but only 3 channels came through. We searched for the channels on the tv but the same 3 channels came through. Should we check the antenna or is something wrong with the tv itself? Thanks! :)

That seems very odd. Do you usually get three channels reliably and the rest are pixelated?

Some TVs do have a manual add function by typing the RF station into the remote (for example if channel 5.1 is actually channel 47.1, type in 47.1 or 47)

Some may have a feature in the scan mode with a manual tuning setting, especially in some converter boxes. Try this first before anything.

Think of anything you may have done to the antenna cables or the antenna itself since you did your first scan, such as adding a new splitter, amplifier, re-adjustment, and so on.

You may also be in an event called tropospheric ducting or sporadic-e, where TV stations from hundreds, if not thousands of miles away. These may interfere with your signal and you may just need to wait it out before the interfering stations go away. By then, the channels you want may come back.

Make sure your TV itself has a good enough tuner. My Samsung TV had a much better tuner than an Insignia TV.

Either all of that or your TV stations lost power, too. It has happened to me before.
