What are the chances of a 17 year old getting a job that wants 18 year olds?

I want to get a job in retail, but I am 6 months away from being 18. The employee I called said 18, but is there any odds that I can get the job if I asked the manager or something?

    Only if there are no applicants who are 18+ and they are desperate to fill the position. There might even be a legal reason why the job is 18+. Adults have different work laws than kids.
