What are the chances of having twins if you have very heavy menstruation?

I am 10.5 weeks pregnant and I heard the heartbeat today. My doctor said it would be very hard to find a second heartbeat this early. Before I got pregnant I had always had heavy periods from my very first one. I just want to know if a heavy menstruation could affect the outcome of the possibility of conceiving twins.

Heavy menstruation has absolutely nothing to do with conceiving twins, egg follicles are microscopic, even if you released two in a cycle it wouldn't make a difference as to how heavy or light a period is. You'll have to be patient until your next ultrasound to find out more.

It has nothing to do with it.
