Do people deserve the wonderful internet if they can't even figure out Email?

It is the most simple thing to do but some just don't get it. Is it a sign of society's laziness or ignorance?

For some people it is not the simplest thing to do.

I'm an IT tech for a rural school district and you would be amazed at how many _very_ intelligent people do not know how to use some very basic technologies, most of the cases that I've seen are because of the generational gap.

An older person is not used to remembering things like email addresses, domains, or layout.

What I would normally ask someone with this opinion is what is the difference in "to","cc", and "bcc". Email has been around pretty much since the old gophernet (the precursor to Arpanet), but most people (especially younger people) don't know the functions of these basic concepts.

But instead I'm going to go the more experimental route on this one, I'm going to pose the question to you:

Since there are so many traffic accidents should everyone who has had one be forced to give up their car?

The automobile has been around quite a bit longer than even computers (outside of the rudimentary forms), so everyone should inherently know how to drive under your logic. There should be no accidents, no one should need to learn how to drive since it is another of the "simple things".

I think a lot of that depends on what email they have.

I have I have several different email accounts and

some are kind of confusing. Yes, if people pay for

internet of course they deserve to have it.

We all had to learn you know.
