Christians, does God choose your career?

I've always had a fascination with this and have been unable to choose between two careers that I've wanted. Everyone tells me to go with one but I also have an unwavering passion for the other. Is that double-minded or wrong to do both? Could it be God putting that in my heart or could it be temptation?

Update:

I repeat...from a Christian point of view, please.

    1. Thank you for actually asking a question pertinent to this category.

    2. Yes and no

    3. Let me explain 2: God does not involve himself (as always) to the extent that he prevents you from freely choosing your career (remember that God's not a lawyer so this means that he will leave you a good deal of leeway as far as his signs are concerned [he will not do violence to you or slaughter thousands of babies in Africa and then "suggest" that you choose a certain career]). That being said there is a specific path that God wants you to follow. Pray for guidance, consider the aspects of each career, look about yourself day to day for anything that might be suggestive of God's intended direction, etc. You will come to know his will because he reveals it to those who actively seek to follow it.

    4. Good day and God bless.

I'm not too sure aboyt this but go for what you want most is my idea.God will provide if you put him first, I've heard of money miracles where people pay to go see something special that is religious and they pay out of their savings, when they got back more money was there than what it costed.Wether these are true or not I don't know, personally I don't believe them because money has all those serial numbers and codes on it but hey God is God and he can do anything.God is infinitely infinite in a infinite amount of ways.

When a mother takes her kids to the park does she care if they play on the swings or the slide?

NO. She wants them to treat each other well and not to vandalize the park.

God doesn't care what career you choose.

If you can't reach a decision, flip a coin.

    Always works for me.

If God wants you to be in a specific career, that will be made clear to you as long as you are willing to put His will before your own. If you do not hear one way or the other, than you make the choice.

Choose a career from 2000 years ago and blame it on god.

I prayed that God would deliver to me what my job was to be on this earth, and after I prayed that sentence a word popped into my head, Hero. I guess God wants me to be someone's hero, which I can achieve through the military, firefighter, etc. so yeah, God does choose one's job if they pray to Him and listen.

No, because that would be a direct violation of His Free Will. He will not intervene into your life's choices.
