this this camcorder/camera good for vlogging and beauty guru?

It's a Canon IXUS 500 HS 12x Zoom 10.1 MP Compact Camera. I would want a camera that is good for beauty gurus so It would focus on the products writing and then focus back on me etc. And would this be also good for vlogging outside?

    It wont have so good quality and it will have a slow focus so i would rather buy a camcorder.
