What do Pewdiepie fans think flaming people will solve?
I absolutely cannot stand PewDiePie. The guy will not stop screaming, so ears feel like they're going to start bleeding less than a minute into the video. But that's not what bothers me the most. If I never had to hear about the guy then I'd be totally fine with it.
But I can't do that.
Every time I watch a gaming video the comment section is bombarded with his fans hating on the person who posted the for "copying" PDP and will even false-flag the video. I have known many people who have had videos removed because of this, and even a couple who have had their entire accounts banned. I have gotten multiple death threats from his "bros" for stating my opinion in a polite way. I can't stand this guy, nor his legions of insane 9-year old fans.
I just want to know, from some of you "bros," WHY do you do this?
It solves nothing. It just makes you and the person you are "defending" look like kids who can't take a bit of criticism.
So tell me. Tell me why. I want to hear a legitimate answer. I want to know why you harass people.
I want to know WHAT you think doing this will solve.

TO ALL MY FELLOW BROS: I love Pewds a lot too, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and, sadly, some people just aren't into Pewdie's kind of gaming videos. Some people like more serious stuff, and that's okay. They shouldn't be mean, but if they simply express a harmless opinion, what's wrong with that? We have to spread love, guys. Don't spread hate. It's impossible to make everyone have the exact same interests as you do, so you just have to accept that not everyone likes the same thing. There's nothing wrong with differing interests :)
TO THE ASKER OF THIS QUESTION: Sorry, I thought it might be a good idea to say all that to decrease the amount of hate you'll get. You seem cool, so I don't want you to get yelled at. I honestly don't know why a lot of PewDiePie fans are so mean to people who don't like PewDiePie. Personally, I like him. I think he's pretty funny. He also seems like a pretty nice guy. I'm 16 and I'm happy to consider myself a Bro. However, I respect that not everyone likes Pewdie's style. He is pretty loud and silly and sometimes obnoxious. That's funny to me, but it's not funny to everyone. That's completely okay.
I do have a theory on why some Bros are so mean to people who don't like PewDiePie. Many of PewDiePie's fans are younger than I am. Many of them had probably never joined a fandom until they discovered PewDiePie's videos. I think they feel overwhelmed by all the crazy feelings that come with joining a fandom and they love it so much that they want everyone to love Pewdie as much as they do. That's okay until they start being mean. They don't understand that you can't force someone to like something. They want everyone to like what they like, but that's impossible.
Many of them have also never seen another gaming channel before, so they automatically assume that PewDiePie was the first gamer on YouTube. I'm pretty sure he wasn't but they get mad because they think he was. I'm trying to convince my parents to let me have a YouTube account, but right now I don't have one so I don't have an easy way to try to stop all the hate. I'm sorry you and your friends have been through so much trouble at the hands of Bros. That's disgraceful, really. Maybe I can try to get Pewdie to tell everyone to chill out or something. I'll see what I can do. Take care :)
