Help! Swimming on period..?
I invited my friend to go swimming tomorrow, and she said yes. But, after I invited her, a few hours later, I got my period. (A few days early but it's only my 2nd period). What should I tell her and my mom? That I don't feel good or well enough to swim? I would feel embarrased tellig them it was because of my period..?
Of can I swim? I don't wear tampons. (And can't. )
I wouldn't be able to change back into my clothes for 30 minutes after gettin out of the water, tho.

say you have plans with your mum tomorrow like she's arranged to you to go and visit someone or do the you don't feel too good.

Don't worry about it! This happens to a lot of girls, me included. You should tell your mum and she can help, because she's been through it aswell. I also read in a book though that the water pressure will reduce your flow. Try and where a tampon if you do go. If you really don't want to, ask your mum to contact your friends mum and tell them that your not feeling well, or just be honest. I really hope this helps, but the most important thing is not to worry, there will be plenty of other opportunities to reschedule.
I hope this helps.

You technically CAN swim while on your period, there's nothing unsafe about it. But if you don't have a tampon, you won't have anything to stop the blood from getting in the water and on your swimsuit and things like that.
As for what to say to your mom, she understands how these things work. I'm sure you can tell her the real reason, it's nothing to be embarrassed about - it happens to every girl, and I'm sure she's experienced this situation as well.

Don't feel embarrassed to tell them! Your moms gone through it and your friend will too eventually. You could always try to come up with something else to do like a movie day or something.
