Willful sin will erode the moral fiber of the wrongdoer’s life, transforming him into a ‘practicer of what is harmful.’ In addition, sin makes the sinner’s life fruitless. Granted, for a while he may seem successful, but the unrepentant sinner cannot expect to have God’s approval.—Hosea 1:4; 4:11-13; 5:4; 6:8.

Modest people also admit that they need God’s direction to avoid the sad consequences of sin. Micah foresaw a time—our day—when multitudes would eagerly seek to be ‘instructed about Jehovah’s ways’ and to “walk in his paths.” Such meek ones look for the “law” and “the word of Jehovah.”

The car I drive is obnoxiously large and full of amenities no one really *needs.* I take showers that are too long and hot. I still try to conserve energy by baking my own bread, hanging my clothes to dry instead of tumbling and leaving the AC off in my home. Yes, I could do better, but I'm proud of the things I do right.

    Apply the same to sin.

The idea of ridding a life of sin would involve sinning less over time.

Don't worry you can sin as long as your good deeds out weigh your sins. When comes judgment day you want the + to out weigh all the -

You don't have to be good, you just have to apologize to god (not to the people you've hurt)
