Since my efc is 0000 will i recive the maximum amout of money for grants?

    You'll receive the maximum amount as long as you're going to school full time. The maximum for the Pell Grant this year is just over $5600. That amount will be divided between the 2 semesters.

    If you're going less than full time, the amount you receive will be prorated.

    Merry is correct, but only in terms of the Pell grant. Eligibility for that is determined solely by your EFC and your enrollment status (full time or part time). Your tuition, or whether you are in-state or out-of-state aren't considered.

    However, there are other grants beside the Pell that are sometimes affected by those things. For example, many state grants have their own requirements. In addition to the EFC from your FAFSA, they may also consider factors such as tuition or state residency.

    It depends what your tuition is, if you're going in-state or out of state, etc. For the most part yes, you will be receiving the full amount for financial aid. FAFSA should give you an estimated amount you should expect. Your school should also give you information about the "expected family contribution" etc.
