How do you stop jumping and continuous scrolling on your Laptop?

Long story short...one day I found my cat sitting atop my computer( laptop) it was on.....I chased him and found that the screen said.....System disabled.....so I rebooted and it came back...but now I have this continuous jumping and scrolling....cant seem to get the mouse to stabilize on one thing and it doesnt stay put.....I changed the batteries on the mouse too...didnt help....what could be wrong..I tried pressing that scroll key too...nothing....as you can see I am minus being a bit more computer savvy than I should be....hope someone can help me out there.

    A long time ago working for another company, we had a customer call in with this problem. Ultimately we sent a tech on site to try to fix the issue. He performed his initial check in upon arrival and checked out shortly thereafter, but insisted he would have to call back to explain the issue, which he did about a half hour later. As it turned out, the woman in the office working on this machine was rather well endowed and whenever she sat down to type her breasts would lay on the spay bar. Af first our tech was stymied as to how to explain this until he found that one of the mechanics at the place (it was an auto repair facility) was her husband. He explained it to the husband and let him tell his wife to get her **** off the keyboard.

    In your case, I think it far more likely that the cat has caused something to become wedged so that a key is effectively stuck down and not releasing, however, if you find that you do have a problem with body parts making contact to keys without your realization, then please post photos so the rest of us know what to look for in the future ...
