Changing pad at school.?

At school we have 5 bathroom passes for one week.

If I have my period, I need to change the pad 2-3 times a day. How do I make them let me go?? There is 100% NO LEINENCY. 5 PASSES IS IT! And I'm in 8th grade.

Chill, I'm in 8th grade too:) hhahah.

Okay, just buy a more absorbent pad, that will not leak any odor. Pads usually last for about 8 hours, and in the us our schools are for 6.5 hours. So you don't really need to change it that often.

hi ok, my teachers do that too, but its for the whole trimester, its stupid, right? So basically what I would do is first of all wear a more absorbant pad, I know it may feel like super big and that everyone can see it, but honestly i think mine shows when im wearing really thin ones, and no one can see it. Second go between classes, I know that there might be a lot of girls in the bathroom but in my school we turn on the air thingies that you dry your hands on before we go into the stall, even if you arent on your period well because, its just awkward to sit in silence and hear nothing but someone peeing. Third thing is you could go during lunch! I usually go at the very beginning because everyone is usually in line for lunch and no one is usually in the bathroom. Lastly if you are in class and lets say everyone is busy and lets say you guys are typing, say you printed something, and actually go to the bathroom instead. I did this in my chemistry class because we were always in the lab, and there was no printer in there, and we were always typing things too, so my teacher just kinda let us go without asking when we needed to print something and i would just go to the bathroom and he never noticed :) or i mean the last option would be to say it was an emergancey. hope i helped!

Buy pads for a heavy flow so you won't have to change them as often or change them between classes or at lunch.

Or you could just go up to the teacher and tell them that you're on your period. That's what I used to do when I was in high school! They would always let you go, especially if it was a male teacher!

Wow. That is a very stupid rule ! They obviously really aren't thinking about the poor girls out there, So sorry for you ! here is what i would do !

Get your mom to buy you pads that are more absorbent so they last longer. Or try using tampon.

tampons can be worn for up to 6 hours. It is recommended that you change them every 4 hours though.

Try to go on recesses and lunches or whenever you have free time, But if you feel the need to go and the teacher says you can't just tell them it's "it's my time" or "Its an emergency" Or even just say "girl problems" If it's a female teacher she will totally understand ! If s a male then he will let you go no questions asked lol.But if they still say no then just go ! If you get in trouble then just tell the principal you were on your period and you really needed to use the washroom. (Ask to speak to a female principal if you have one).

If you are still really worried go to the guidance counselor and tell her that you need to be able to leave class when you ask because of personal reaosons, If she ask tell her your on your period and its heavy and you need to be able to leave when you need to. Your guidancce counselor will tell all your teachers that you need to be let out to use the washroom whenever you ask.

You could always just get your mom to write you a note. Or you could even right your teacher a note. Or even a teacher you are comfortable with and ask her to tell your other teachers.

But I say if you ever really need to leave and your not allowed JUST GO!

If you get iin trouble so be it. Tell them to call your mom. I guarantee she will have your back :)

Here is a video about handling your period at school. Watch it ! it will really help :)

    Best of luck !

alright i had this very situation happen to me . i had a personal talk with my teachers. they let me go :3 it was VERY embarrassing. i also switch around with tampons and pads but back then i didn't. it was actually so bad that i had to use toilet paper as a pad/tampon! it was horrible. but i was lucky the school toilet paper was really ruff. anyways if that doesn't work, tell them your reasons. as , its very unhealthy for your body, it will seep through clothes and be very embarrassing. i suggest you say your points then, ask them what you want to ask. also mention how heavy it gets and the cramps :3 kinda make them pity you , if the teacher is nice enough, then they wouldn't want to look like a jerk, then they'd have to. ( personal talks with teachers and helping them understand really does help. if not then you have terrible teachers. don't keep saying , oh gosh it wont work, cause that was mean no when there could have been a possibility of an unexpected yes)

Buy a larger, more absorbent pad, and you should only have to change once during school hours, if at all. Use the bathroom during break times. If there's a problem, go to the nurses office.

That is a stupid rule. Tell them your about to bleed your pants, go in between classes or at lunch if that doesn't take up passes or use a high absorbent pad and tampon to only need one change

Hello, maybe someone's Mother needs to go talk to the school officials and let them know that girls on monthly menses need to go more often. I just can't believe 5 times a day, that's just crap but if that doesn't work then you will need maybe to wear a lady's wet proof undies with your pads. Hope you solve it soon.
