DO I NEED PROFILES TO USE CROSSFIRE?

no.. you can simply run crossfire the way it was meant to be run ... however profiles are used to store/save game specific data .... for example a game like crysis3 is a demanding game and users will need to adjust the video settings to achieve the best performance

however HD7850,s in crossfire should allow near max performance ... and when you find settings that achieve the best frame rates and visual splendour you can save this as a profile ( eg crysis3 best performance )

but profiles are optional and are not required .. personally I hate programs and apps that set in game options .. the worst is nvidia,s GeForce experience which at best sets options way too high

so in summary I would leave things as they are and let the catalyst control center do the work .... and most games ( on first load ) will automatically set the game video options to the best for your cards .( which should be high/ultra )

finally may I say im rather jealous of your graphic set up ... and im now going to talk to my bank manager regarding gpu upgrades ( ha,ha )

seriously though you have a excellent ( and not too expensive ) gpu set-up ... theres very few games that wont run at maximum detail at 1920x1080 ....
