Can I get in trouble for flagging someone on YouTube for stealing my AMV?

I make AMV's (Anime music videos) and someone stole mine, and blocked me when I asked them to take it down nicely.

I don't want to get in trouble myself for copyright reasons (taking the anime, using the songs, etcetc)

Should I report them?

    Yeah report them.

    I'm a little confused.

    if it is your original work or if you own the copyrights, then report them.

    you can't, however, report someone for stealing something you have stolen.
