Question for cleaning an aquarium?
I'm cleaning my aquarium, and it's been a month since I've had it. I took the betta out, and I put him in a bowl full of the same water, and the heater. I removed all of the rocks and let all of the debris get sucked into the filter. It's been about 3 hours now, the water looks 95% clear, excpet fine particles. I was wondering if it'd be alright to replace the missing water, add the rocks back, and add him back into his home? Since I've heard changing all the water at once can kill it.

What size is your tank??
If by rocks, you mean gravel, and if you cleaned them all. Then you probably washed all the beneficial bacteria out.
Yeah it's bad to change the water all at once, BUT it should be okay as the temperature and ph are close or exactly what they were.
And you do not want any ammonia or nitrate spikes!
Im guessing since your tank only contains a betta, its a 5 gallon at most
Betta's are very hardy, so i think it will be fine. But next time start doing at most a 50% water change maybe once ever other week.
I clean out my 20gallon 1nce a week (30% waterchange, gravel vaccum)

Yeah. He will be fine. Just place him in a bag with the water he was using in the bowl and place him in the tank for 15 minutes. Replace the missing water first. Dont add the water from the bowl.
