Problems Solved....No sound coming from my computer windows 7?

I had no sound coming from my computer and everything I tried did not work. I needed a pass code and did not know how to get that. BUT instead I found the answer as to how to reinstall my sound card when I did not have a code to help me....click on START...then find HELP AND SUPPORT. Left click on SOUND. Under TROUBLESHOOT SOUND ISSUES you will see BASIC FIXES FOR SOUND PROBLEMS...left click on that.Scroll down to TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS WITH AUDIO DRIVERS.and you will be able to reinstall audio driver from there....I was ready to take my computer in to get fixed....this save me.

Update:

You can email me if you need help. I don't know a ton about computers but when I have a problem I search until I find the answer. dmrpu@aol.com

    Hello Donna,

I am pleased you resolved this problem by reinstalling the sound driver.

You found this solution in Help and Support. An alternative would be to use the manufacturer's own update utility that they normally put on the computer, or search the manufacturer's web site by searching under your computer's model name and/or number, for audio driver updates.

The drivers for your computer will also normally be provided on a disk supplied by the manufacturer of your computer when you bought it, though locating the most up-to-date version on the Internet using the manufacturer utility, or through Help and Support (assuming it downloads the file), will of course be better.

It was nice of you to share your solution with others; and also well explained.

    Regards,

    Robert.
