I had no sound coming from my computer and everything I tried did not work. I needed a pass code and did not know how to get that. BUT instead I found the answer as to how to reinstall my sound card when I did not have a code to help me....click on START...then find HELP AND SUPPORT. Left click on SOUND. Under TROUBLESHOOT SOUND ISSUES you will see BASIC FIXES FOR SOUND PROBLEMS...left click on that.Scroll down to TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS WITH AUDIO DRIVERS.and you will be able to reinstall audio driver from there....I was ready to take my computer in to get fixed....this save me.

My son downloaded a new game this week...not sure what it was right now but since then I cannot use my computer speakers. I can use a headset, the speaker icon has a red x and everything I have done does not work. I went to device manager and it says i need a passkey provided by my support professional. Well I don't have one....any suggestions?? I have gone on line and found many ways to fix this but nothing works.

I have a son who has a Discover card balance with 13.49% interest. We would really like to lower the rate. I know he pays $100 a month on the account with a balance right now of $4900. About $60 goes to interest. The card is under my name. I called them to see if they would lower it. They told me they are sending me an application for a manual review of my account. This is the only way they would help me out. I tried 4 times. When this comes in the mail and I fill it out is it better be make it look good on the application or better if I show a hardship.

I have Cisco Linksys wireless router E1000. When I use my tablet any where in my house, my tablet runs very slow. My son and sister also have tablets and when they come to my house, they have the hardest time getting connected. Is it my wifi? if so, what can I do. This router is only about 2 yrs old.

I take care of a few kids until 8pm and can't make it to the gym until 8:30 or 9pm some nights. What is a good pre workout drink to take that late? I need a little energy that late to get me going.

I am single mother of 5 children. I go to school 6 days a week, full time, 9-4:30pm. My only income is tips and child support. My brother moved in with me at the beginning of 2012 and has paid half of all the bills. The only help I get from the state is food stamps and medical. It is now time to do our taxes. I have always claimed all of my children except last yr, my middle child was claimed by her father. My question is...can my brother claim 2 of my children since he did pay for half of our bills. If so, there can only be one head of household. Can he still file as single?

I tried to download a game for my grandson today. Something popped up and asked what I wanted to use to open it. I clicked on IE but then changed it to Firefox. Now I cannot open anything the way I used to. All my desktop icon have the IE symbol. When I try to open Firefox I have to click 'open with' then click firefox. It opens but there is a box saying something about Binary File (896 KB). I x out of that box then firefox will open.

I want to save a picture to my computer.

I right click and scroll down to 'save image as' but

there is no 'pictures'....or my pictures to click on.

There is only favorites, desktop, recent places, libraries, home group, computer and network.

Pictures used to be in SAVE IMAGE but it is now gone. How I can I restore it?

I can open desktop and find pics but I would like to just have it there to click on....thanks

I picked up my new gas perm contacts yesterday.I have been wearing them for 25 yrs now. With these new ones, I can see far away but nothing up close. The lady behind the desk at the eye place was blurry. Everything within 12 ft away is blurry. She told me to pick up a pair of 1.75 reading glasses so I went across the street to Walmart to buy a pair. I could not see the prices of anything on the shelves. I tried to check the time on my cell phone but couldn't see anything on my phone including the buttons. When I went to the check stand, I couldn't see to write a check. They told me this is normal and to just use reading glasses but I should not have to use them to see my dashboard, my keyboard and any of the normal things I should be able to see. I should just need them to read....am I right?

For some reason I had problems with my facebook account. They made me reset my password and said they sent a code to my home phone number. I never received a call and it has been more that a day. I still can not get back onto my facebook.

I walked into someone's house the other day and the smell of urine was so bad that I could barely breathe.

They have an older dog that can't walk so I guess the urine and waste from the dog is collected by the sleeping bag or blankets that this dog lays on. He is an older man and spends alot of time in the basement area with his dog...eating, and sometimes sleeping in the same room. This can't be good for someone to breath in all day. It was horrible for me. I can't imagine what is in the air. Could there be a bad bacteria in the air that is harmful to a person?

My computer was running slow so I did a disc cleanup. I notice that the number for my temperary internet files are so high and always seem to be high anymore. Why is that? I didn't have that problem with my old computer.

I have a new 19" Samsung TV. All the channels were set into the tv a few months ago. The words DTV Air and the channel appear in the left hand corner when I change the stations. It was working correctly but the other night my grandson hit the remote.

Now on channel 15 it appears at Air 15...not DTV Air. No matter what I do, I cannot get the station back. Twice, I have reset the stations using channel set up. All the other stations appear as DTV except 15. I have even tried to enter it myself but it will not enter as a DTV channel. The station works on my other sets.
