How long of a rest time from cardio/running is too long?

Not for any injury to recover but to avoid over training/potential injury..How quickly does cardio/fitness start to diminish?

Depending on how athletic you are it can take from a pretty long time to a short amount of time for others for their cardio to diminish. For example if you just started running you will definitely want to avoid taking more than 3-4 days off because you might feel it a little bit cardio wise. But for somebody that has been running for 3-4+ months taking five days off or even a week or two won't hurt that bad. You might feel slightly diminished in cardio but 2-3 days of running will quickly recover any of those issues.

depends on who you are, for me its about 5 days but it can vary depending on how good of a runner you are and your age
