how do i make my xbox mic stop echoing?
It randomly started echoing and now no matter what i try it wont stop echoing when somebody talks!!
Its really annoying and somebody please help me out

hey mate my friend and me had a similar issue I assumed it was my headset, I changed the batteries and fiddled with the cable but we worked out it was my mates modem not even a headset issue. It seems his modem had been slowly dying over that week and thats how we got the issue as it was slowing down the connection. Anyway he got a new modem and we haven't had any issues since.
try recording a voice message and listen back to it, if the message is fine and no echo then its not your headset. You can go into the network settings and run a network test to see if it picks up any issues if no probs then I'd check your modem or power it down for 10 seconds and boot up and see if you still have the issue. Also if its with everyone of ya friends then its most likely your issue however if its just with one mate then its his issue.
