Can you braid in hair extensions yourself?
I really want box braids, but I don't have the money to get it done.

Yes, you can do it yourself.
The first time you do the style yourself it's probably not going to look awesome. Just saying. It's going to take practice, practice, practice to make them look neat and perfect.
Are you good at braiding? If not I would work on my braiding skills first. Once I'm good at it, then I would definately search videos on Youtube. Find one that's very clear on directions. There's one I really like but I can't think of it at the moment. Study it, get around five packs of hair, and then try it along with the video.
Usually, when someone is doing it for you it lasts five-ish hours. So doing it yourself will take longer. And the length of the hair you buy will also make the process take longer.
EDIT: The channel I like and I've been studying (for Senegalese twists) is BlackWomenHair. She's super detailed and shows you great steps!

Source(s): Go to a drug store or something and buy a pack of braids, it will probably require 2 people but you can do it and it will take around hour to hour and a half:)
