What's your favorite math rock band?
This is a video I made a few years ago on my favorite math rock groups:
@Josh Melt-Banana was amazing live, one of the best sets I've ever seen. Great list, I still need to check some of those bands out. Feel free to email me with any album recommendations for Shellac or any other bands, it would be hella appreciated (woo woo pun)

wow, top 42? i'll definately watch that later. there are only about 6 math rock bands i own an album for, and don cab and hella are the only two i own multiple albums from.
actually, after looking at wikipedia's list of math rock bands, i also own multiple albums (or multiple bootleg concerts) from king crimson, mars volta, sleepytime gorilla museum and umphrey's mcghee. but i don't really consider any of those bands math rock exactly even though they all play with time signatures to a degree. i don't know exactly where the line is between an experimental rock band that plays with time signiture and a math rock band, but i feel like those bands haven't crossed it.

Foals, Minnaars, and Maps And Atlases.
Math Rock is by far one of my favorite sub-genres.

Math rock? What on earth is that? Seems every time I turn around, some new genre pops up.
