Your View Of Operation Ivy?

(As Asked for by Say4nything 'Say4nything 2.0')

I think operation ivy is one of those ska punk bands that helped define Ska-Core (Like Fishbone, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Dance Hall Crashers)

I'm suprised that they only had 1 album but i own it and i call it a ska-core classic (Next to TMMB's Pay Attention)

That album is Energy. (I think that leftover crack is like Op Ivy...I may ask about them but that will come later)

I also own a EP by Operation Ivy:Hectic.

some of their songs i like are:Yellin' In My Ear, Freeze Up, Knowledge, One Of These Days, And Healthy Body.

Your view?

(after this is:Machine Head, Beastie Boys, Genesis, From First To Last, And Kittie)

    Nice :)

Anyways, they are an essential band for any punk fan, IMO. While they only released one album, they are still referenced many years later, which says something.

As for the album itself, it's raw ska-punk at its finest. The bassist Matt Freeman stands out on this record.

The one downside is a handle of generic tracks.

It gets a 9/10 from me.

In regards to the band, I actually don't know too much about them historically, aside from Tim and Matt

Yes,I f*cking love them, forever one of my favorites, since when I first discovered them in 2009 I find myself going back quite frequently and listening to there music,a perfect band.

V - Umm,they ain't very popular because they only lasted two years, they never signed to a mainstream label, they refused to sell out, they actually started getting quite popular in 89 but the success got to there head and they decided to disband.
