Word math problem, need help?

Ed likes to use his table saw for home projects. While cutting a piece of wood Ed cuts off three of his ten fingers. How many fingers does Ed now have? While in shock after cutting three of his fingers off Ed abruptly backs away from the saw and knocks two of his three fingers on the floor. How many fingers are now on the saw and how many fingers are on the floor? The human body holds about ten pints of blood. Ed looses two and a quarter pints of blood after cutting off his fingers. How many pints of blood does Ed now have in his body. Ed's concerned neighbor runs over to Ed and applies a tourniquet at Ed's wrists right below his hand this cause his tissue at his hand to die and his hand must be amputated. Now how many fingers does Ed have. Does Ed win his lawsuit against his concerned neighbor for loosening his hand? Thanks for all you help.

Is this problem for real or just a joke?

Cut 3 fingers leaves you 7 out of 10.

2 on floor one off the floor but detached from hand(presumably on the saw). 7 attached to hand.

10.00 - 2.25 = 7.75 pints of blood left. After arm is amputated he has 5 fingers left on the only hand he has. Ed does not win lawsuit over concerned neighbour unless the neighbour had training that suggested better tornquet techniques were expected. Even then only a partial win at most would be expected. Ed would be considered at least being partly responsible for being idiotic enough to cut his fingers off in the first place. If ambulance was called ASAP then responsibility to loosen tornqiet would be the paramedica and medical people. At the time putting a tornquet was likely the best thing to do to prevent bloodloss..
