How to I put music files already on my laptop onto an I-pod?

I have downloaded I-Tunes and the files show up in there but I cant work out how to put them on the device.

Update:

it doesn't say sync anywhere on the page :(

    You need to plug your iPod into the laptop, it should show up, then press sync, which should then transfer all music onto your iPod! :)
