Is a 1,980 year old Dead Jewish Carpenter really God?

Okay so I was brought up Christian. Jesus was supposedly put to death in 33AD. Then he rose from the dead 3 days later. That would make him 1980 years old today, if he's still alive and breathing and up in heaven today. So my question is: is it really reasonable and true, or even necessary to believe that a Jewish Roman citizen who was a carpenter by trade and was put to death by the Roman Empire nearly 2,000 years ago for treason and allegedly plotting insurrection not only rose from the dead and is alive and in heaven, and is literally God Himself incarnate, but also was born immaculately in a mystical way to a virgin mother who otherwise, according to worldly sources was impregnated in an illegitimate way as an unwed young maiden? Is there any truth to this? Do these beliefs hold any water whatsoever, or are they silly, outdated mythical hoopla?

    THE ADOPTION THEORY:

Christians first taught that God adopted Jesus when Jesus was baptized. Mark is the first Gospel and did not report a virgin birth.

Mary would not have entered Joseph's home prior to her their wedding Night (Jewish custom).

Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary in Joseph's home in Nazareth because Mary and Joseph were already married and shared that home. This home was referred to as Mary's home even before Mary became pregnant. Mary's cousin Elizabeth also visited Mary at this home instead of the home in a different town where Mary grew up with her parent.

Jesus never said Joseph was not His biological father: Joseph was Jesus' biological father.

After his father's death Jesus was consider head of household under Jewish customs, being the oldest male child of the family.

    Jesus:

    Born Wednesday, August 21, 7B.C. Mary 16; Joseph 21.

Returned from Egypt at 2.5 years old after Herod died 4B.C.

    Entered Manhood - Bar-mizpah 13 years old 21August,7 A.D.

Age 14.5, Father, Joseph died from fall while building young Herod's Capitol.

Baptized at noon Monday, January 14, 26A.D.

Official Ministry started at 33 years old middle of 26 A.D.

Died at 36.5 years old Friday, 7April30 A.D.

Re-appeared in Transfigured body Sunday, 9April30A.D.

Jesus(oldest), James, Joseph, Simon, Judas(jude), Amos died at a young age.

    Sisters: Miriam, Martha, and Ruth.

Mary's sister Salome was mother of James and John zebedee, Jesus' 1st cousins.

Jesus' earthly body did not rise from the tomb, angels rolled away the stone

and disposed of it. Jesus appeared in his transfigured body to satisfy our

demand for proof he was from God. Peter, who was with Jesus on the MT. of

Transfiguration, understood this but was advised not to reveal it.

However, the Transfigured Christ did meet with his followers, both in

Jerusalem then lastly in Galilee on 18May30A.D.

Jesus did not teach the "Original Sin Theory" that we are inherently guilty

    because of Adam's sin.

Was Jesus resurrected from the dead ? Yes. (1 Cor 15:3-8)

By whom ? God. His Creator and Father. (Acts 3:13-15)

Where did Jesus go after he was resurrected ? He remained in the vicinity of earth for 40 days and then returned back to heaven. (1 Pet 3:18 ; Acts 1:9 ; Heb 9:24)

    Is Jesus God ? No. (1 John 4:9,10 ; John 14:28 ; 1 Cor 11:3)

As for a young maiden being given the privilege of carrying and giving birth to God's Son....possible ? Well, if a mere human doctor can move an fertilized egg from one person to another, surely the wise Creator could take the life of his Son and place it in Mary's womb ?! :)

    Sincerely, E.

We believe it seeing that we believe this chippie was the son of God and died for our sins. 1. We have now freedom of religion. Which you can just maintain that correct now. 2. You just called me and a entire LOT of men and women silly. Don't say you failed to considering it's correct there *facets to reveal* 3. Yes, so you have proved he existed and that he was crucified. You've additionally proved that people knew who he was and that Mary had extra youngsters after him. How does this help your argument? Four. You're using the bible, which tells of Jesus doing miracles, as your 2nd factor about Jesus, which apparently is a few argument towards him. (this does not make so much of an argument though, just says matters all people agrees on about him and indicates books and individuals that say so) 5. You are going to be irritated that i don't accept as true with you. At least, a variety of men and women will probably be angry that i am no longer an Atheist that thinks Christians are stupid. Before you disagree with me on this, why do not you seem at some other query like this? Since it appears to me that if you are a Christian on the net everybody hates you. 6. Questions like these and their responses (from both sides) make me totally argumentative with the need to guard my faith, as they will have to any person. Do not forget this my apology if I've managed to offend any person or say anything tremendously silly. (We're all in a position of it.)

If He's still dead, then no, He would not be. But He proved His divinity, along with everything else He said, when He rose from the dead. It is the resurrection of Christ, NOT His death, that paved the way for the establishment of the church and the spread of the gospel. His death was atonement for our sins. But His resurrection was what truly secured and justified our faith.

To every effect there is a cause. The church is an effect. And the only logical cause it could possibly have is the resurrection of Christ. Don't believe me? Then YOU tell me the cause.

By the way, Jesus was born to Mary around September 11, 3 BC. That was about 2,015 years ago, not 1,980.

Jesus died for all sins committed by all.

Jesus was born of the Father before time. Jesus is 100% God.

Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father only. Holy Spirit is 100% God.

Jesus incarnated. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man.

His body felt pain but didn't have the original sin (eating of the forbidden fruit).

After crucifiction, Jesus preached in hell. Those who believed, got out of hell.

After resurrection, Jesus has a body that doesn't feel pain; He is still considered to be 100% God and 100% man.

Actually he was supposed to be 33 at the time he died. Year 0 was when he was born so he would actually be 2013 years old, if he were still alive.

    Yes, it's plausible.

Of prophecies in the Old Testament concerning Messiah / Redeemer, Jesus fulfilled hundreds of them. Your difficulty is this: You are overlooking, and even negating Jesus' Divine Nature.
