Teen girls - how would you redecorate your room?

I'm in the middle of redecorating my room, too. I suggest that you pick out things that you can easily change out if you change your mind in a couple years. I say this because just a year ago I had a totally different style and opinion about what I wanted my room to look like. So don't really choose a specific theme like a show, band, pattern. I made that mistake and did a pink and zebra print room and a year later I hated zebra print! Anyways, just have fun with it! Look at garage sales because you never know what you'll find.

Well I actually did that a couple months ago.

I would start off by changing your furniture if you don't like it. This includes stuff like a new bed, bean bag chairs, ottomans, a desk, etc.

You should also start by having a theme. Do you want your room to look sophisticated, edgy, or girly? Make sure it reflects on who you are because it won't be YOUR room if it's not you.

Then I would choose a good color to paint your room and make sure it goes along with your theme.

After that I would start decorating it. Maybe hang some posters or pictures and get a lamp or a fan or add some pillows on the new chair you got. Don't forget to get a new bed set that fits in. Really put your time into decorating because you want to make it look perfect and feel perfect when you're in it.

My room is painted gray and I have a damask theme going on (I know it's common but I added my own details). My furniture is tan but it has gray knobs on it so it matches. My bedding is a black and white damask bedding and I added 4 additional pillows to it (a black and white chevron pillow, a plain black pillow, a black damask pillow, and a purple pillow with damask detailing on it). As for the decorations, I made a memory board that has fabric matching to my bed set and it displays my favorite pictures. I also made a necklace holder out of it too. I have a damask lamp on my night stand and I also keep a couple of magazines on my nightstand along with a small black album because it just shows who I am.

My room is a mix of London and fangirl.

London : I have this mirror that looks like a telephone booth you'd find there and the Great Britain flag stuff all over. And tons of signs that say "Keep Calm and Carry on" I'm a huge fan of that stuff.

Fangirl : I have lyrics on my walls. You know those quotes you can get pre-made and put onto your wall? I have that but I created my own with my favorite lyrics. And I also have autographs from my favorite bands and have them hanging in my room.

On account that you have got determined for your theme the best normal matters to move for are partitions and your ground. Get some fresh paint on your partitions that you can get a wallpaper on one among your partitions, which you could get a surfboard as a part of the design. Prefer your ground, wooden or carpet, what shade of colour, i would say go for anything sandy, even wood comes in that color now. Get a bed with wood for the headboard or some thing involving the beach and summer season, also that you can go together with the correct accessories which are related like lampshades made from shells or photo frames made of seashore stuff... Keep in mind pleasant tropical plant life :)

One of my friends has a tree room. she haslight bark wallpaper and bedspread, with dead tree branches hanging from her ceiling and birds nests.

Another had a professional artist come in and paint her walls with horses.

Another has a sequin theme room..

Mine would be brown leather and hardwood floors with a beanbag.

Pink makes people crave sugar So I would never do that again!

You could paint the walls, get a new bed spread, rearrange your furniture, put things on the walls and just get decorative things that you like that make the room blend together. (:

You should decorate it however your personality is.
