Anything wrong with using Windex on soft cloth for cleaning pc monitor?

    Windex contains chemical (ammonia) that will damage the "plastic" screens on LCD/LED monitors. Windex was ok for glass, but not modern flat screens (or TVs).

    Use plain water, or eyeglass cleaner. You can also get LCD screen cleaner in computer shops...

    You can use Windex on an old, glass-faced CRT monitor.

    LCD / LED monitor, or laptop screens will be damaged by Windex! Don't use it.

    I clean such screens with the tiniest bit of plain water on the softest cotton cloth I can find. Power off, of course.
