there appeared to be fuzz on one of my pond goldfish..scales are gone skin is raw red help me help him?

about three weks ago i found 2 fish in the dirt outside my pond..they must have been there 30 mins..maybe 3 hrs..but alive and covered in dirt. i placed them back in the water brushe off as much dirt as i could and let them swim off . one died [ puncuture wounds] the other might be this guy with the "fuzz"... he otherwise seems healthy ..swims fast with the school and eats in the feeding frenzies..how can i help him , water has been changed a week ago ph is fine

WILL A UV "FILTER" CLEANSER/STERILIZER [THAT IS MEANT TO KILL ALGAE,] HELP KILL FUNGUS IN MY POND? i'm not sure if more than one fish is effected at this time

    Fuzz is usually Columnaris fungus. It's actually a bacteria and needs a strong antibiotic treatment. Tetracycline (250 mg/10 gallons) and Furan 2 are the best cures. You need to treat for 4 to 5 days. reove any activated carbon you may have while treating. If anything slimy develops, you may have a secondary infection. Google "Chart on Fish diseases," which is excellent at dianognosing white slimy stuff like Costia and Chilodonella. which are fairly easy to cure as well.
