Is it true that "Being right doesn't mean you have all the answers"?

Because having more [of the] questions proves being right better than having all of the answers does.

Doesn't it?

BQ: Being right is the essence of religion, isn't it?

Update:

Meaning: If one has questions that another can't answer.., does it means that the first person is wrong?

Update 2:

There is a typo. 'means' should not have that 's'.., damn it.

    True.

One could be right about one or more things and still know nothing about plenty of other things.

"Being right is the essence of religion, isn't it?"

    I wouldn't say that.

Worship of a deity, and how to do that according to that being's wishes, is the essence of religion, in general. "Who is God?" "What do they want?"

Now, would it be best for a person's spiritual condition if they were right about whom they should worship and how? Of course. That is true. I spent years checking out that stuff, for sure.

"If one has questions that another can't answer.., does it mean that the first person is wrong?"

Certainly not. All it means is that whatever-it-is, is yet to be answered. Expecting someone to know everything about a subject is a high expectation.

This is stupid because it divorces your will to Truth from your reasoning with Truth.

Being right means that you have the answers to the moral best of your ability. It must or it is meaningless. And there is no connection with Christianity since Jesus says I AM THE TRUTH so that your completely amoral intellectualism about things is an automatic sin.

We are all converted by the meeting of our OWN questions with our own answers. Hence Pascal notes rightly :

We are usually convinced more easily by reasons we have found ourselves than by those which have occurred to others. Pensées (1670).

Thinking that you are right and everyone else is wrong seems to be the essence of most religion that I have seen.

no being right is not the essence of any religion at all. that is why most every religion teaches humility which is the acceptance of not being perfect or correct all the time

I like to say "The truth is so much stranger than fiction." I already know that I won't ever understand everything about the universe or world we live in I just know who made it.
